In June my best friend Suzanne's daughter, Trista, turned 4 and she had a party at Girly Girlz. It's a pricey boutique that has adorable girly products, everything from nail polish to tu-tus! In the back of the shop they have a party area where they do up the girls hair and paint their nails.
After their hair, makeup and nails were done we went into the tea room where they served the girls lemonade and we had birthday cake. The girls all got to put on big tea hats and boas to get all fancy!

In June Lacy and I went up to Show Low to be with Jared's mom while she had an angioplasty. We were worried about her so we wanted to be there to help her and support her. Lacy of course loved seeing her grandma and her Aunt Lori and Great grandma Crook. Lacy has a connection with her grandma Crook and her grandma Petersen. Whenever they are around she wants to be held by only them and loves to have their undivided attention!

I don't know how to set up these pictures, other than to say that having Jared feed Lacy is a bad idea. Turns out this is what happens when he feds her squash...
Here's another cute highchair picture of Lacy. This is her enjoying a strawberry! We have this little mesh tube that you can put fruit in so that she can gnaw on it and get the juices without worry about her choking. She loves strawberries and bananas!


Lacy is only 5 months old and she is already getting ready to get on the go! She has started to push herself up on all fours. When she did it for the first time I happened to have the camera next to me! Here's a picture of it!


Jared hates his picture being taken. Which makes me so upset! But I don't see things changing anytime soon :( He will either close his eyes, look away, or look REALLY grumpy whenever he hears the camera turning on. In this picture Lacy (who is a minature Jared in so many ways) decides she doesn't want her picture taken either. She they both have the "no pictures please" face going on! ha ha


This summer Kaylee had several fun sleep over parties. Her best friend is Ashara, and when Ashara moved all the way to north phoenix, we were so sad because we don't see them very often anymore! So over the summer we made it a point to get together and let Kaylee and Ashara play. I miss my friend, Adrienne (Ashara's mom) so much! We used to be really close when we lived in the same ward. We were both single moms and it was so nice to have a friend who understood things I was going through and we were always there to help each other! Anyway, in June Ashara came over and spent 4 days with us. The girls played with water balloons in the back yard, acted in plays that they made up, watched movies, went to the library to get books to read, went to the park, and played with Lacy. The highlight for them was when we went down to the pool!
We have a swimming float that has a mesh bottom. It's great because Lacy can lay back and relax, and not be under the water. She loves it because it makes her feel like she's in a giant bathtub! She just lays there and kicks and splashes and works on her sun tan! ha ha

Lacy has discovered the phone! She gets all excited when she gets to hear her dad talking to her on the phone! She first starts looking around for him because she hears his voice. Then once she registers that it's on the phone she grabs the phone and starts slobbering on it! ha ha Giving daddy phone kisses!


June was sad for us...Dustin and Andra moved to Washington :( We miss having them over for dinner and hanging out with them. But they were smart enough to move away from this horrible heat! Just before they left they came over for a goodbye dinner and here are some pictures from that night. This is a funny video of Dustin showing off his trampoline skills. He practically bends the trampolines legs! ha ha It's fun to watch video because we miss Dustin and Andra tons!!! I also think this video is funny because Jared gets on it and does some flips and then you can tell that once he jumps off the trampoline he is in pain! He forgets sometimes that he's an old fart. ha ha.

Lacy loves Andra and Dustin! Lacy always curled up with Andra!!Dustin could always make Lacy smile soooo big! She would get all excited whenever she saw him!
