For Family Home Evening one night we went down to the park. Here are some cute pictures!

In April our ward had a neighborhood Easter Egg hunt. They covered the park with easter eggs filled with candy and the kids had a lot of fun collecting all the eggs. Then they had a pancake breakfast and a visit from the Easter bunny! My mom came over and took Kelsey and Lindsey too. Afterward we took large pieces of construction paper and placed them on top of a bowl and taped all the way around the rim of the bowl. That way when you take the paper off the bowl, you have a hat!

Also in April Kaylee brought home her mid-semester progress report. We were so proud of her because she got straight A's!

Jamie and Emma (Andra's twin sister and her husband) came down to visit and we went up to my parents house for a dinner with them and to hang out. Lacy would sit there and look at Andra then to Emma, then back to Andra. She kept trying to figure out how come there was two Andras! ha ha ha

In April Jared took my to Disneyland. He had never been there before and anyone who knows me knows how much I LOVE Disneyland, so I was stoked to take him for the first time! My mom watched the kids for the weekend and we rented a car for a nice, relaxing, kid-free, romantic weekend away. We loaded up the car and got on the freeway when we realized that the cars CD player was broken. We weren't about to go on a long drive with a broken CD player, and we didn't want to get blamed for breaking it when we returned it, so we headed to back to the dealership and get a different car. The good news was that they gave us a free car upgrade because of the hassle. But we had to wait for an hour or so while they cleaned and got the car ready. So we were running way behind schedules so we decided to just grab some McDonald's on the way out of town and started our drive to LA. Almost to the California border, smack in the middle of nowhere, traffic came to a screaming halt and there was huge pillars of smoke we could see coming from around the mountain. Traffic was so backed up that people were getting out of their cars and walking around. We turned off our car and rolled down the windows, grateful that the weather was breezy and beautiful. After THREE hours of waiting for them to clear the road (a suburban had jackknifed it's toy hauler and blew up) we were able to start driving again. When we got to LA we got lost and the freeway we were supposed to take was closed. Finally...we got to the hotel...at 2:00am. I was feeling sooooooooooooooooo sick. I was confused because I don't ever get car sick. Turns out...I got food poisoning from the McDonald's. I spent ALL NIGHT hugging the toliet and moaning in pain. It was horrible!!! Not exactly a romantic weekend. But the Disneyland tickets were already bought and that morning even thought I hadn't slept yet I was determined to go. I hoped that if I just went and didn't think about it maybe I could enjoy the day. Well, for those of you who have had food poisoning, you know that you can't just "will it away". We went on 2 rides and I spent more time in the bathroom than we did waiting in lines. Finally Jared got me some fresh fruit and some Pepto and said that we were going back to the hotel to rest. Reluctantly, I agreed and we both went back and took naps. I woke up feeling a little better so we went back to Disneyland, this time to California Adventure. We went one 2 more rides before I started puking again, so we just left. So what did we get for an expensive weekend? 4 rides at Disneyland, a huge hole in our checkbook, and these 2 pictures. Ha ha All in all what we really wanted was a weekend just him and I and that's what we got. Even though it wasn't everything we planned, it was nice to be together all weekend!
