2007 Family Update

Well let's do a family recap! This past year has been busy, to say the least! Jared and I met, fell in love and got married on March 24, 2007. We decided that were looking forward to our lives togethter that we didn't want to wait and plan big wedding. So we went to the Stanley's house and got married under a beautiful gazebo. Afterwards we went back to our home and had a big family dinner! Family from both sides came and wished us well and had some yummy food. It was such a relaxing and happy day for the both of us! After the wedding, we headed up to Show Low where we got a cabin for the honeymoon!
Jared and I wanted to have a baby soon, but since I have had so many health problems I thought for sure it would take months to get pregnant. Loooow and behold, 4 weeks after being married I got pregnant! The day after Mother's Day is when I found out the happy news! Little Lacy LaNae was on her way!
In October, 7 months pregnant and all, we moved to the new house. It was so nice to be in our new home with lots of space to grow!! I got frusterated because I couldn't lift anything because I was pregnant and I had a cerlage (which is when they sewed my cervix shut to prevent pre-term labor). So I couldn't lift anything over 5 lbs. So it took a loooong time to unpack. In fact there are still a few boxes untouched in the laundry room!

On December 29th I was admitted to Banner Gateway Hospital to be induced. At 8pm they got me in my bed and said that the doctor may or may not come in tonight and to try to make myself comfortable in the meantime. They started me on pitocin (which didn't do anything).
At 3:00 am Dr. Huish came in and broke my water. I dilated from 4 to 10 and started pushing! I decided to forgo an epidural and 2 1/2 hours later, Lacy LaNae was born! She came out and instantly grabbed a hold of her daddy's finger! She had to lay under the lamp to get her body temperature and she just kept holding onto Jared's finger and then she would grab Kaylee's finger!
My labor when off without a hitch . I couldn't ask for a quicker easier delivery. Jared and my mom were in the room with me and both took turns helping me breathe and encouraging me. Lacy came out sunny side up (face up) so it hurt really bad. But she came here quickly and safely, so I can't complain at all!
