Happy Easter! This Easter was fun because it was the first one that Lacy was old enough to really enjoy. After we put the girls to bed the night before Jared and I stayed up and filled Easter Eggs and he was in charge of hiding the eggs around the living room. Above is a picture of Lacy as she walks into the living room Easter morning!
And here is Jared introducing her to candy filled Easter eggs. She caught on REALLY quick! And figured out that if she threw the eggs down on the floor they would break open and she could get the candies! I thought we would have to lead her around the living room and show her how to look for the eggs. But nope, our smart little girl picked up on it in a flash and was able to sniff out each and every hidden Easter in no time! I'm sure the fact that they are chocolate filled helped out her motivation!
Kaylee got all her favorite candies, a new Easter dress, and some Littlest Pet Shops for Easter.
She had so much fun later that afternoon when all the cousins came over and did a big Easter Egg hunt in the backyard! Me and Joyce walked around the backyard and hid a ton of Easter eggs. Then Kaylee, Alicia, and Caleb ran outside for the hunt. We told the kids that they would get a special surprise to whoever wins.
Once we saw that Caleb was going to be the clear winner we decided to play a prank on him. All the kids got together to count their eggs and see who won. Once Caleb saw that he won he go all excited for his special surprise. He didn't realize that the prize for Caleb was a kiss from grandma!! ha ha ha We all got such a good laugh!!
